I have been photographing people and objects, small and large, since I was fourteen. I work in a wide range of photography to keep a fresh perspective and maintain enthusiasm.  I photograph weddings, performances, products, architecture and create multimedia fine art pieces . I have photographed for Southwest Airlines, National Public Radio, Austin American-Statesman and many Austin small businesses.

Before pursuing work in photography, I managed Advertising and Public Relations at EnviroMedia in Austin and worked on national promotions for MTV in New York.

I am also a Web designer.  I feel fortunate to be in the design field during the convergence of photography, Web design, videography and animation. It's an exciting time to be in multimedia imaging.

I have lived in Austin for twenty years. I love running at the hike and bike trail and spending time with my wife Nancy, our four year-old son and our two dogs.

I work with models on commercial, stock and fine art photography.  Experience is less important than having a fun, collaborative attitiude.  Depending on the project, all ages and genders are often needed.

I specialize in "environmental portraiture," portraits taken at clients' homes, workplaces, parks, downtown or in nature.  Instead of working in a studio, I create a studio on location with various lights, scrims and reflectors to control lighting and composition.

I photograph a limited number of weddings each year. I use a second professional photographer to provide multiple viewpoints and cover the complete story of the day.  With the exception of posed group shots, I have a documentary/ photojournalism approach. I see photography as a way to tell the story. Each wedding's images are unique.

Wedding Packages and Pricing

Wedding packages begin at $2,880 and include a proof book or online gallery with 300+ images, custom prints, a wedding album of the couple's favorites and an online slide show/video plus a DVD. All packages include site inspections, consultations and two photographers for the wedding day.
